I picked up a book called The Happiness Project recently from the public library. The author Gretchen Rubin is an attorney/writer living in NYC and the book is about her year spent trying to become a happier person. When I found myself reserving the book at the library, I stopped and asked myself "why am I taking time to read a book about happiness when I already feel super happy and blessed?"
Just like the writer of the book who had the same thoughts before she sat down to write the book, I feel like even though I am happy I could snap less and get less easily irritated. With all this happiness and gratitude that I carry around why do I still get annoyed when driving or waiting in line at the grocery store?
The book has been a super interesting read and even if you feel like you are the patron saint of gratitude and happiness you could still benefit from reading this book.
The writers style and her approaches to happiness are light-hearted, funny and completely easy to put into action in your own life.
If you have read the book let me know in the comments section!
