My name is Jenny Little and I am at about the midway point of esthetician school at the Aveda Institute in San Antonio, TX. I have always been a product junky and loved lotions, potions and all things girlie.
My path to wanting to become an Esthetician has been kind of a long and winding journey. I am a trained Kundalini yoga instructor as well as a certified Hatha Yoga instructor. I love working with people and their HUman bodies. Working with the skin seemed like a natural obvious choice but friends lets me tell you I never have learned to go with the obvious choice the first time around. The universe has to create sneaky ways for me to listen!
If your anything like me being the creative type I have always been drawn to a menagerie of things/careers/interest.... Ooooh whats that shinny thing over there Oh it sparkles let me follow that for a couple of hours.You get the point.
WHew ok back to the story. I moved back to my home town of San Antonio, TX. Lets be honest people Texas is rather low on my list of places to live. There are good things to it like my parents live here and come to find out who knew I would meet the man of my dreams here! Silly universe and its sneaky ways again!
I moved home with the idea that I was searching for a reset button. I needed to find a way to distill and condense everything I had slowly been accumulating knowledge wise! Last year I went to Colorado to spend New Years and I had a vedic astrology reading with a really good friend. Even if you don't believe in spaced out hippie astrology stuff hear me out. Shannon told me many times over and over that I am a healer and a manifestor in this lifetime. I need to get on the ball with helping people to clear out my karma or in the end it will just bite me in the ass. Message still not received want to try harder universe?
I just tried to go on about my vacation in Colorado thinking to myself oh yeah Universe try and make me listen to you. A couple of days later I went to a Kundalini Yoga class with Shannon as the teacher and during the "relaxation" part of the class, when I was supposed to be resting the universe started to download a series of messages and images. I saw myself giving the best way I could describe it would be to call it an "energetic facial" basically sensing peoples energy and spirit and helping them move,process or intergrate anything energetic wise that they needed help with.
Now folks lets not get this all crazy. I am not some Shaman, self described healer crazy cat lady. Basically it feels different for every client or person that walks thru the door. Some people just need straight skin care love, some people just need to be heard, some people need to process things that they aren't quite aware of and some people just need a new lotion.
Its this wide range of practical helping and spiritual healing that I am so drawn to.
With all that said here I am on the verge of starting a new business. Intergrating all the bits and pieces of knowlege that I have picked up along the way.
